External enclosures are a great way to have high capacity data storage on the go. Data can also be a critical factor for users in the media business or who work with data centers. On the table today is a 2.5” drive rack by Icy Dock. The MB994SP-4S can hold four 2.5” drives, and fit all of them in a single 5.25” bay in your desktop or server. It can fit any 2.5” drive up to 15mm in height (yes, that includes Western Digital’s extremely popular 2.5” Velociraptor drives!) It’s been nearly a year since we’ve looked at an Icy Dock product, but this is not to say that they havn’t been busy developing new products and improving those that they have on the market already to give newer and better versions. Icy Dock are one of those companies that when you see their name you know that the quality of product that you will get is second to none and are always simple to use and get to grips with.
