This utilizes the power on/off feature you are talking about, where the key lock has power capabilities.

The big difference between the two is that the 672 does not have a removable tray, rather the drive is directly inserted into the dock, whereas the 122SKGF has a removable tray. But, it sounds like that would not be too big of an issue since you want to just keep the drive in at all time.

Best Regards,

Roland, Team Icy DockICYDOCKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12437797259284532424noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32202894.post-17084882715627381432009-03-30T14:12:00.000-07:002009-03-30T14:12:00.000-07:00Hello Icy Dock staff. I've looking since a few months, a device for my computer that gives me the possibility to hot-swap one of my hard disk, for data back-ups purposes. I've been told that your devices are great ones in this area, and I'm quite interested on the MB672SKGF-B model at the moment, for example. But I've one doubt about how your devices work exactly:

- Lets say that I do not only want to hot swap my hard disk, but also have the possibility to turn it On/Off without hot-swapping it at the same time (so, not removing it from the enclousure). So, is that possible?

I ask this because at first time I thought that the Security Key provided may be not only for open the enclousure but also to turn On/Off the hard disk, so I may turn it off while using my operative system, but without removing it from the enclousure or simply not opening the enclousure at all. Unfortunately, I've been looking at the many FAQ documents and I have not found any info regarding this or the different Security Key functions. I just want to know if any of your devices have the ability to do that. So many thanks in advance for your time.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16799510269969063366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32202894.post-7229012836186786222009-02-14T05:16:00.000-08:002009-02-14T05:16:00.000-08:00How can I get this product in Brasil? How can I get this product in Brasil?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15005808386492222014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32202894.post-53569808078445666282008-12-18T15:57:00.000-08:002008-12-18T15:57:00.000-08:00Yes, there are resellers in Netherland.
